Account and settings

Your account and its settings: the profile opens from your username in the header, Settings beside it.

Profile

The profile shows your page language, username, email address, password, logins, public handle, friends and the data export; each is changed in a dialog of its own. Your email address must be confirmed within 24 hours after registering (a mail with a link; a new link can be requested in the profile), otherwise the account is deleted. A confirmed address is changed with "Change…" beside it and your password: the new one is confirmed by its link, the old one stays until then and gets a notice of the change.

Username

Your username can be changed in the profile ("Change…" beside it) once every 30 days, with your current password; you then log in with the new name, and your public handle keeps its code. For 30 days nobody else can take the old name, and your friends see it beside the new one in their friends list (counted on their username in the header) until they dismiss it. Changing only upper and lower case (e.g. "anna" to "Anna") is possible at any time and has none of these effects. Names with obscene, offensive or illegal words aren't allowed, also when registering.

If an administrator blocks your username because it breaks the terms of use, PaSiCC asks you for a new one at your next login (no password needed); until then you can't do anything else in PaSiCC, and others see your name scrambled. Your friends are told the name changed, without the old one.

Settings

  • Background of the node view (this browser).
  • Languages whose task markers and date words are recognized, e.g. English and German together.
  • Maximum energy, energy labels and where the current energy level is kept (see The attributes line).
  • Default duration of tasks without ~N.
  • Description editor: whether descriptions open as formatted text ("Visual") or as Markdown.
  • Help buttons: whether the "?" beside elements is shown; hide them once you know your way around.

Logins

The profile lists where you are logged in. Log out single logins or all others there. A login ends after 30 days without use.

License

During the beta, accounts get a beta license: free, with a limit on the number of nodes (shown as a percentage in the profile, and in the header from 80 %). A beta account unused for 60 days is deleted, with mails before. Only free licenses end like this; an account with a paid license is not deleted just because it wasn't used.

Data export

Export… in the profile downloads your nodes as a ZIP file: a folder per node with its details and description, arranged like your hierarchy.

Feedback

Feedback… at the bottom of the page sends us a question, an idea or a problem: a subject and a message (the page's version, your browser and system go along). We answer in the same ticket and let you know by email; until you have read the answer, a red number shows on Feedback…. Either side can close a ticket; writing again opens it again.

Until the team has answered, Edit beside your latest messages changes them in place, and Change subject the ticket's subject; the team can edit its answers the same way until you write again. Edited messages show it with the time.

Blocked account

An account that breaks the terms of use can be blocked by an administrator, usually with a reason and, if it ends by itself, the day it ends (also by email). After logging in PaSiCC then shows only that, with logging out and, if the block allows it, the export of your data. Others keep what they share with you.

Deleting the account

Delete account… in the profile deletes your account with the nodes only you own. For 30 days you can still log in and restore it; meanwhile you can hand nodes over by sharing them with owner permission.
